Turnouts Control Systems for main lines and depots
TCS 300 - Turnout Control Systems(0.65MB)
Turnouts Control Systems TCS 300, due to their module structure and implemented interface for track blocking systems, control on demand systems etc., can be used in various implementations. TCS 300 system is suitable for controlling both a single tram switch and a group of connected switches.
TCS 300 system is based on a programmable logical controller performing safety functions (so called safe programmable logical controller). Thanks to this, it is possible to program central processing unit of the controller according to individual specifications of the user and easily adapt to a particular project. As controllers are available in many versions, they can be selected appropriately to the requirements of a particular project. For several switches situated in the same place, e.g. in case of a double or triple intersection or a depot, only one controller is needed. Due to various possible appliance configurations, TCS 300 system may always be optimized and fewer controllers mean lower costs.
Accessories and software of TCS 300 system comply with latest European norms and safety level SIL-3, which indicates not only reaching high safety standards, but also readiness for work (availability).
Using SafetyBus, it is possible to apply remote control to the elements located in a distance from TCS 300 system and sustaining Safety Integrity Level SIL-3 for the entire system. There is only one cable of SafetyBus needed, even in case of complex installations, and local power supply.
Depots control system may be either a centralized or decentralized one. Destination point can be chosen with the use of a computer screen by a dispatcher. Destination point may also be selected by the driver, with one of many installed boards, central control consoles or with buttons placed on allocation tracks. Those buttons allow moving a train forward, which means in the direction opposite to the regular one. Movement is not restricted to only one direction.
In addition, a depot may be divided into sections to ensure more freedom of movement within the depot. Control is separate for each section. Only in case of a demand for moving to another section, those tracks are also blocked. Occupation of the tracks is monitored by track circuits.
